Oregano & Chamomile Tea

More oregano??? Do you need a simple gift idea for Father's Day? If he enjoys drinking tea, this is a sweet homemade gift to give, straight from the garden.

I am still harvesting, dehydrating and processing this prolific, delicious herb. Last night I made some Oregano & Chamomile Tea, perfect timing since it seems that I'm fighting a sore throat.

Mountain Rose Herbs sells convenient "press 'n brew" tea bags. Simply fill each bag with material of your choice and iron shut (I used our Toko nordic ski iron since we don't own any other, and it worked just fine). No glue is needed or used to make this product. They are Hydrogen Peroxide and Oxygen whitened, without the use of bleach or other chemicals.

    1. It has a slight minty taste, which came as a surprise to me the first time I had it.
