Morning Lemon Peppermint Salt Scrub

I have found that my ginger body scrub is perfect to use in the evening to help soothe my muscles after a long day or rigorous exercise. For a morning ritual, I wanted something more zesty to help perk up my senses. To do so, I came up with this fresh, invigorating morning lemon peppermint salt scrub:

Ingredients:
1 whole lemon (with rind)
1/4 C. olive oil
1 C. sea salt
10-20 drops peppermint oil

Directions:
1. In a food processor or blender, combine lemon and olive oil. Mix until smooth, about 3 mins.
2. Pour salt into a bowl. Add peppermint oil. Whisk thoroughly.
3. Spoon lemon mixture into salt. Use a spatula to fold together until well combined.
4. Place salt scrub in a glass jar.

To use in the shower, scoop fingers into salt scrub. Massage deeply into skin. Rinse. After your shower, pat yourself dry with a towel and apply peppermint moisturizer or your cream of choice.

Good morning!

    1. Hi there! As long as no water gets into the container and the jar is well sealed, the salt scrub can last for several months (at least).
