  1. Is there anyway you could post a youtube video on how you made this? I am not getting the turns. I love the scarf but mine is not looking anything like yours.

    1. I could, but it'll take me some time. I'll create a diagram for it though. I'll try to post that soon!

  2. My question, do you repeat from knit 20 after you're done with the last knit 20 or just repeat from the knit 8 row?

    1. Ok, I see the confusion! I changed the directions a little so they're more clear. My changes should clear up your question! Thank you for pointing that out.

  3. What type/weight of yarn is recommended for this pattern?

    1. I would recommend using yarn like this with 13 (9mm) needles: http://store.darngoodyarn.com/product/raw-oats-chunky-wool-yarn

    1. When you knit 8 across, do not keep knitting to the end of the row. Instead, literally turn your work around so that you're holding the work with the opposite side facing you. Then, knit 8 sts back to the beginning. Repeat...

      Does that make sense?

    2. Okay, I'm still confused--I'm a beginner too--are you switching the needles to the opposite hand?

    3. Yes! You turn the work around, switching the needles to opposite hands. Then knit back to the start of the row...

    4. Okay, starting this again for the fourth time--lol! Think I have it now, but I will probably be back!

    5. You can do it! Once you get it, it's easy to repeat back and forth. Just keep track of your numbers! It's well worth the effort. I love the scarf!

  5. How much yarn does this typically take?

    1. I tend to like longer scarves, so I used about 350-400 yards.

  6. This may sound silly, but when I switch the yarn/needles around, do I pull the yarn through to the back? And if not, how do I keep on knitting. I'm not getting the twist to it either.

    1. Not at all silly! Yes, you pull the yarn to the back as if to knit again. Hold the yarn tight so that you don't create a little hole as you knit back.

    2. The twist start to happen naturally after you've repeated the pattern a couple/few times. It doesn't spiral...it flaps back and forth and gives the illusion that it's a spiral.

    3. Ok I think I understand it now. Will try again! Thanks!

  7. When it says turn after 8 or 6 or 4 stitches, just pretent you are at the end of the row and turn and go in the other direction.
